Picked up 1.5 hours later after an initial estimate of 20 minutes. Needless to say, this altered my day significantly.
Just missed my trip to Robben Island (320 Rands) because they never showed up. I called them in advance to make sure they were on the way, and they said they were. Still waiting...
I will not be using Rikkis Taxis again. I arranged for a taxi to collect us on Adderley Street at 1 pm to take us to the V&A Waterfront. The taxi arrived, but then the driver did not know where we were going or how to get there. I had to direct him. I don't know what he would have done if we were foreigners. The head office should keep their drivers better informed.
